Job Description
Job Title: L2 Cloud Support Engineer
Experience: 3-6 Years
Location: Chennai / Bangalore (Other India locations may be considered)
Employment Type: Contract – 12 Months (Extendable)
Shift: Rotational 24x7 Global Support
Job Summary
We are seeking a Cloud Support Engineer with hands-on experience in Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The candidate will be responsible for providing Level 2 technical support, troubleshooting cloud infrastructure issues, and assisting customers with implementation and operational support.
Responsibilities
- Provide L2 support for cloud infrastructure and services across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
- Troubleshoot incidents related to compute, storage, networking, security, backup, and monitoring services.
- Support cloud deployments, migrations, and implementations.
- Analyze logs and resolve technical issues within SLA timelines.
- Perform incident, problem, and change management activities.
- Create technical documentation, knowledge articles, and SOPs.
- Work with L3 teams and vendors for complex issue resolution.
- Participate in rotational shifts and global support coverage.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP administration.
- Knowledge of:
- Virtual Machines / EC2 / Compute Engine
- Storage Services
- Virtual Networks, VPCs, Load Balancers
- IAM, RBAC, Security Groups
- Backup & Disaster Recovery
- Monitoring tools (Cloud Watch, Azure Monitor, Operations Suite)
- Scripting knowledge in Power Shell, Bash, Python, or Shell scripting.
- Understanding of ITIL processes.
- Excellent troubleshooting and customer communication skills.
Preferred Certifications
- Azure Administrator Associate
- AWS Sys Ops Administrator
- Google Associate Cloud Engineer
- ITIL Foundation
Requirements
Experience & Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in Information Security / Data Privacy, preferably in Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance. Hands-on exposure to DPDPA, IRDAI guidelines, and (security + privacy) -by-design implementation. Robust experience in risk management, policy drafting, audit oversight, and vendor governance. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related discipline. Industry certifications such as CISM, CISSP, CISA (preferred).
