Job DescriptionEngineer / Senior Engineer – Rebar / BBS ExecutionQualificationBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech Civil) – MandatoryExperienceMinimum 5 years of experience inhigh-rise building construction with reinforcement works and Bar Bending Schedule (BBS)Job LocationProject Site (High-Rise Residential Projects)Role OverviewThe Engineer / Senior Engineer will be responsible forpreparing, monitoring, and implementing reinforcement works and Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) at project sites. The role involves coordinating with tower execution teams to ensureaccurate reinforcement detailing, proper placement of steel, and timely execution of reinforcement activities as per structural drawings and project schedules.The position will report to theManager – Rebar / BBS Execution (Rebar Incharge) and will support productive reinforcement operations across the project.Key ResponsibilitiesBBS Preparation & Reinforcement PlanningPrepareBar Bending Schedules (BBS) for structural elements such asslabs, beams, columns, shear walls, and foundations.Study and interpretstructural drawings and reinforcement detailing.Coordinate reinforcement planning withformwork and concreting schedules.Reinforcement ExecutionMonitorcutting, bending, and placement of reinforcement bars at site.Ensure reinforcement works are executedas per approved drawings, BBS,



and project specifications.Supervise reinforcement installation beforeformwork closing and concreting operations.Steel Quantity MonitoringTracksteel consumption against BBS quantities.Monitorsteel wastage and ensure efficient material utilization.Assist in preparation ofsteel reconciliation statements.Site CoordinationCoordinate withTower Incharges, Civil Execution Engineers, and Formwork Teams to ensure proper sequencing of reinforcement works.Provide technical guidance torebar supervisors and labour teams regarding reinforcement placement and detailing.Quality ControlEnsure reinforcement installation meetsquality standards and structural requirements.Verifybar spacing, cover blocks, lap lengths, anchorage, and reinforcement alignment before concreting.Assist in inspection and approval of reinforcement works.Documentation & ReportingMaintain records ofBBS, steel consumption reports, and reinforcement progress.Preparedaily and weekly progress reports related to reinforcement works.Support planning and billing teams withreinforcement quantity data.Technical Skills RequiredStrong knowledge ofreinforcement detailing and Bar Bending Schedule preparationAbility to read and interpretstructural drawings and reinforcement layoutsKnowledge ofsteel quantity estimation and reconciliationUnderstanding ofreinforcement works in high-rise RCC constructionProficiency inMS Excel and AutoCADPreferred SkillsStrong analytical ability insteel consumption monitoring
