Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manager, Software Engineer – India to lead the design, development, and modernization of enterprise digital platforms. This role requires a technical-first leader who can provide architectural direction, hands-on technical guidance, and engineering leadership across a modern cloud-native technology stack.

The successful candidate will possess deep expertise in Angular and frontend engineering, with the ability to mentor development teams, drive engineering excellence, and support large-scale modernization initiatives. While people leadership is an important component of the role, technical depth, solution ownership, and technology leadership are the primary expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Provide technical vision, architectural guidance, and engineering best practices across application development initiatives.

• Lead solution design, technical reviews, and architecture discussions for scalable, secure, and high-performing applications.

• Drive modernization efforts and adoption of contemporary engineering practices and technologies.

• Establish and enforce coding standards, design principles, and engineering best practices.

Software Engineering & Delivery

• Design, develop, and support enterprise-grade applications using modern frontend and cloud technologies.

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Security, and Infrastructure teams to deliver business-critical solutions.

• Ensure high-quality software delivery through automation, CI/CD, testing, and monitoring practices.

• Drive continuous improvement focused on scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Cloud, DevOps & Security

• Provide technical leadership across AWS-based cloud environments.

• Champion DevOps culture and automation-first delivery practices.

• Ensure adherence to security standards, vulnerability remediation, and compliance requirements.

• Support operational excellence through monitoring, observability, and incident management.

People Leadership

• Mentor and develop engineers through coaching, technical guidance, and career development support.

• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.

• Influence technical decision-making while effectively partnering with business and technology stakeholders.

Required Technical Skills

Frontend Development: Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript

Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes

Cloud Platform (AWS): EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, EFS

CI/CD & DevOps: Harness, GitHub Actions, Jenkins

Security & Vulnerability Management: Qualys, Contrast, Prisma Cloud (or equivalent platforms)

Project & Agile Management: Jira

AI-Assisted Development: Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Embeddings, AI Agents, Prompt Engineering

Preferred / Supplementary Technical Skills

Backend Development: Node.js

Content Management Systems (CMS): Tridion, Contentstack, or similar platforms

Content Delivery Networks (CDN): Akamai or equivalent technologies





API Development & Management: Apigee or similar API Management platforms

Database Technologies: Oracle, PostgreSQL

Monitoring & Observability: New Relic, Splunk, or equivalent monitoring tools

Test Automation: Playwright

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• 12+ years of progressive software engineering experience with significant hands-on technical responsibility.

• Demonstrated expertise in Angular, TypeScript, and JavaScript-based application development.

• Strong experience designing and supporting cloud-native solutions on AWS.

• Proven experience with containerization, orchestration, CI/CD, DevOps, and security best practices.

• Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and driving engineering excellence.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading application modernization and digital transformation initiatives.

• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and scalable system design.

• Exposure to AI-assisted software development and emerging engineering technologies.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.

• Ability to balance technical leadership with team development and people management responsibilities.

As a Software Engineering Manager, you’ll be responsible for building secure, scalable, and business-critical a suite of in house or third-party applications. You'll lead teams of technology professionals to enable business outcomes and provide dependable customer-centric solutions and experiences. This role combines technical leadership, people management, and hands-on engineering responsibilities.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

- Partners with Product Managers, Architects, Security, and Business stakeholders to define and deliver technology solutions aligned with business objectives.

- Responsible for applying secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure our data and technology solutions are protected from threats and vulnerabilities.





- Partners with leaders to ensure a viable total cost of ownership and ongoing health and wellness of applications.

- Assists in the development and implementation of application suite roadmaps through the evaluation of business needs, competitive landscape, technology currency and information security considerations.

- Manages risk mitigation controls and provides support for internal and external audits.

- Supports the engineering build of the application suite and non-technical efforts for the products.

- Represents voice of the customer, acts in a forward-facing role to business partners as an active member of a portfolio management team in the advocation of business case development, planning, financial management and evaluation of portfolio.

- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.

- Hire and develop talent, provide consistent coaching and feedback.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:
Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, mathematics, or related field is strongly preferred.

Experience:
Minimum ten years of experience in application suite management and strong Full Stack development expertise. Experience leading numerous teams across multiple technologies. Proven experience/understanding of concepts and techniques in project delivery, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis. Detailed understanding and knowledge of the systems development life cycle and modern methodologies, practices, tools, and techniques.
