AIR COMPRESSOR TECHNICIAN
Job purpose
The position is designed for performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on industrial compressed air systems. The main responsibility is to perform diagnostics on malfunctioning air compressors by determining the causes for issues and perform those repairs based on the diagnosis at all facilities as per the maintenance request / report or checklist provided by the superior.
Acting under the guidance of Engineering Manager / Maintenance and Facilities Manager and Utilities engineer. Supports production team for smooth operation of the equipment/machine.
RESPONSIBLITIES
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
COre AREA
Air Compressors, Air Dryers, Loading/Unloading Solenoids operations / Operations & Maintenance
- Ensure experience in operation and maintenance of Industrial Air compressors for compressed air requirements and all auxiliaries such as dryers, filters, reservoir tanks, and cyclone separators for air distribution network
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on malfunctioning compressors, determine possible causes,



and perform repairs as suggested by diagnostics and assessment.
- Record daily readings in the log, periodical checklists, preventive maintenance schedules
- Detailed awareness of compressor components including lubrication systems, shut-down systems, loading and unloading valves, pistons, valves and electrical systems
- To perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and filter replacements
- Must maintain and practice proper safety procedures, personal hygiene, housekeeping and the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Performing lockout/tag out, starting/stopping of equipment, and perform equipment checks
- Act Promptly to Plant Emergencies as directed and any abnormalities
