A Snapshot of Your Day (STATCOM Bid Manager)

As a STATCOM Bid Manager, you will play a critical role in driving the successful tendering and proposal execution for Siemens Energy's STATCOM EPC projects in the local market. You will be responsible for managing the complete bid lifecycle, ensuring the development of high-quality, competitive, and technically compliant proposals that meet customer expectations while supporting Siemens Energy's profitability and growth objectives.

In this role, you will work closely with sales, engineering, procurement, legal, commercial, and regional stakeholders to coordinate all activities required for successful bid preparation and submission. You will lead technical and commercial evaluations, define bid strategies, manage stakeholder engagement, and ensure compliance with internal governance processes. We are looking for an experienced bid management qualified with strong expertise in the transmission and energy industry, who can combine technical knowledge, commercial acumen, and project coordination skills to secure complex EPC opportunities and strengthen Siemens Energy's position in the energy transition market.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Lead the end-to-end bid management process for STATCOM EPC projects, ensuring timely preparation and submission of high-quality and competitive proposals.

• Analyze complex customer RFQs to identify technical, commercial, contractual, and execution requirements while developing winning bid strategies.

• Coordinate and consolidate technical, commercial, legal, engineering, procurement, and project inputs from local, regional, and global stakeholders.

• Define bid strategies, proposal structures, execution concepts, and work package allocation in collaboration with sales and technical teams to maximize competitiveness and profitability.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, commercial evaluations, pricing models, and profitability assessments to support proposal development and management decision-making.

• Define, discuss, and align scope packages with suppliers, subcontractors, and local partners to ensure optimal project execution and commercial positioning.

• Establish and manage bid organizations, project schedules, tender plans, communication processes, and stakeholder reviews throughout the bid lifecycle.

• Act as the primary interface between customers, internal stakeholders, and external partners for all bid-related activities, clarifications, and negotiations.

• Compile, review,



and manage technical and commercial bid documentation in accordance with customer requirements and submission timelines.

• Support internal offer release and approval processes through preparation of comprehensive management presentations, risk assessments, and approval documents.

• Lead technical and commercial clarification discussions during tender and contract negotiation phases to secure favorable contractual and commercial terms.

• Ensure full compliance with Siemens Energy governance requirements, including export control regulations, business conduct principles, quality standards, and risk management procedures.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within bidding processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements, standardization, and enhanced proposal quality.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

• 10-15+ years of proven experience in Bid Management, Tendering, Proposal Management, or Technical Sales within the energy, utility, power transmission, or heavy industrial sectors.

• Strong expertise in managing complex EPC tenders and preparing techno-commercial proposals for large-scale projects.

• Demonstrated experience working effectively with cross-functional and international teams across engineering, procurement, legal, commercial, and project management functions.

• Solid understanding of power transmission systems, substations, grid solutions, and energy infrastructure projects.

• Technical Bid Management experience including tender preparation, cost estimation, technical specification analysis, proposal development, and bid evaluation activities.

• Experience in project engineering, project management, design engineering, commissioning, or execution functions will be highly advantageous.

• Experience within the FACTS portfolio, including STATCOM, SVC, HVDC, or related grid stabilization technologies, will be considered a strong advantage.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate technical, commercial, contractual, and execution risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.

• Excellent communication, presentation,



negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.

• Strong commercial awareness with expertise in pricing strategies, profitability assessment, contract evaluation, and bid competitiveness.

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a dynamic and deadline-driven environment.

• Willingness to collaborate across regional and global teams while supporting business development and growth initiatives.
