Payment Posting Executive Insurance Remittance Job Description The Payment Posting Executive is responsible for entering, balancing, and reconciling all incoming payments, adjustments, and write/-offs into the medical billing and Revenue Cycle Management /(RCM/) system.

Working within healthcare billing workflows, this role accurately posts electronic remittance advice /(ERA/), manual explanation of advantages /(EOB/), direct client payments, and credit card transactions to patient accounts while identifying payment variances, underpayments, and denial codes to maintain financial integrity and account accuracy Key Duties Process and post both manual paper Explanation of Advantages /(EOB/) payments and high/-volume electronic remittance advice /(ERA/) auto/-postings onto patient ledgers.

Accurately post contractual allowances, deductibles, coinsurance, co/-pays, secondary insurance payments, and direct patient payments. Compare daily batch posts to merchant statements, lockbox reports,



bank deposits and clearinghouse transmission summaries.
Determine, examine, and record denial reason codes /(CARC/RARC/), insurance payment variations, underpayments, overpayments, and zero/-paid claims. Notify the Accounts Receivable /(AR/) follow/-up or denial management teams of claim denials, unpaid amounts, and posting irregularities so they can take appropriate action.
Handle refund requests, sliding/-scale adjustments, bad/-debt write/-offs, and balance transfers in accordance with client financial requirements. Make sure that internal financial control requirements and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act /(HIPAA/) privacy principles are strictly followed.
