Job Responsibilities
Operate and monitor VMC (Vertical Machining Centre) machines.
Read and understand engineering drawings and machining dimensions.
Set and operate VMC machines as per production requirements.
Perform tool setting, offset correction and tool changes.
Check component dimensions using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge and other measuring instruments.
Maintain required quality standards and production targets.
Identify basic machine/tooling issues and report abnormalities to the supervisor.
Maintain proper housekeeping and follow 5S, safety and quality procedures.
Record production, rejection and inspection details.
Follow work instructions and maintain machine cleanliness.
Skills Required
Knowledge of VMC machine operation and CNC machining.
Ability to read engineering drawings.
Knowledge of measuring instruments.
Basic understanding of G-code / M-code is preferred.
Knowledge of cutting tools, inserts and tool offsets.
Valuable discipline and willingness to work in shifts.
