Job Purpose:

To provide clinical anesthesia services in operation theatre both routine and emergency.

Job Responsibilities:
GENERAL
To be willing to acquire knowledge, updating skills and technology for skilled competency.
To be willing to travel for training assignments/postings as and when needed.
To interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
To comply with hospital policies such as Leave policy, Grooming standards, etc.
To abide to all standards related to quality control as per NABH guidelines.
To actively promote practices that save company resources and minimize wastage.
To comply with waste disposal and sterile practices of the organization.
To place high priority on achieving patient satisfaction.
To adhere to patient confidentiality, medical records management.
To adhere to proper immunization, vaccination and maintain hand hygiene.

Perform and document pre-anaesthetic check-up.
Formulate anaesthetic plan of care*
Obtain and document informed consent.
Order appropriate investigations*.
Interpret hemodynamic parameters in critically ill patients*
Interpret laboratory & radiology results.
Orders transfusions of blood and blood products*
Order appropriate medication and other orders *
Maintenance of anaesthesia record
Adherence to protocols & checklists
Perform cardio-pulmonary resuscitation.
Performs arterial puncture*.
Inserts central venous catheter *.
Performs oral endotracheal intubation.
Performs nasogastric intubation.
Inserts urethral catheter
Administer regional anaesthesia *.
Administer general anaesthesia *.
Procedure always requires discussion or presence of Consultant and above
