Ensure lessons integrate reading, writing, speaking, and listening components effectively.
Use appropriate teaching strategies to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
Assessment and Evaluation
Design and administer formative and summative assessments as per IGCSE standards.
Provide timely, constructive feedback to students on assignments and tests.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and prepare grade reports.
Prepare students for IGCSE English examinations through targeted practice and revision sessions.
Classroom Management
Maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom workplace.
Encourage student participation, creativity, and confidence in using English.
Enforce school policies and promote discipline, punctuality, and respect.
Student Support
Identify students needing additional academic or language support and provide remediation.




Motivate and mentor students to develop a love for literature and language learning.
Support students in developing critical thinking and analytical writing skills.
Professional Responsibilities
Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and career development programs.
Collaborate with colleagues to plan cross-curricular or co-curricular activities.
Participate in school events, parent meetings, and open house sessions.
Keep updated with developments in IGCSE English curriculum and teaching methodologies.
Resource Management
Develop and update teaching resources such as worksheets, reading materials, and digital tools.
Integrate technology (audio-visual aids, online platforms) to enhance learning outcomes.
Co-curricular Contributions
Organize or assist in literary clubs, debates, drama, or creative writing competitions.
Encourage reading habits through book reviews, reading challenges, or library sessions.
