ABOUT THE JOB
Job Title: Regional Representative
Location: Hybrid
Experience: 08+ Years
GLOBAL ARBITRATION CENTRE [GAC]
The Global Arbitration Centre [GAC] invites applications from suitably qualified, professionally established and regionally experienced individuals for the position of Regional Representative [RR] across its designated regions.
The position is intended for professionals capable of developing regional institutional relationships, professional networks and commercial opportunities while representing GAC in accordance with its applicable frameworks, structures, policies, protocols and authorised requirements.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Regional Representative [RR] will serve as a designated regional point of representation, engagement and coordination for GAC.
The role will focus on:
- Regional representation and institutional engagement;
- Development of professional, institutional and commercial relationships;
- Identification and development of regional opportunities;
- Engagement with enterprises, legal professionals, arbitrators, mediators, institutions and senior business stakeholders;
- Active participation in, coordination of, and contribution to the successful execution of applicable GAC processes, programmes, memberships and initiatives within the designated region, in accordance with applicable GAC requirements;
- Development and strengthening of regional professional and institutional networks for GAC; and
- Timely reporting, documentation and coordination with GAC.
The RR shall exercise only such authority as is expressly granted by GAC.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Regional Representative represents GAC within the designated region in accordance with applicable GAC authorisation, requirements and directions.
- Promote appropriate awareness, engagement and participation in GAC activities and initiatives.
- Maintain professional standards in all regional communications, representations and activities undertaken for GAC.
Institutional & Professional Development
- Build and maintain relationships for GAC with enterprises, legal professionals, arbitrators, mediators, institutions, associations and business leaders.
- Develop professional, institutional and strategic relationships for GAC within the designated region.
- Identify and develop suitable opportunities for GAC collaboration, partnership and institutional engagement.
Business & Regional Development
- Identify and develop qualified regional opportunities for GAC.
- Participate actively in, coordinate and contribute to the successful execution of applicable GAC processes, programmes, memberships and initiatives within the designated region, in accordance with applicable GAC requirements.
- Facilitate suitable regional participation in GAC activities, programmes and international initiatives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with prospective GAC members, enterprises, institutions, partners and other relevant stakeholders.
- Contribute to the regional expansion and development of GAC's professional, institutional and commercial network.
Reporting & Coordination
- Maintain appropriate records of regional activities, opportunities, engagements and outcomes undertaken for GAC.
- Submit prescribed reports, statements and particulars to GAC within applicable timelines.
- Coordinate with relevant GAC functions and comply with applicable GAC frameworks, structures, policies, protocols, requirements and directions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or above in Law, Business, Management, International Relations, Commerce, Trade, Finance, Economics or a related discipline;
- Relevant professional qualification in law, arbitration, mediation, business, finance, trade or a related field will be an advantage;
- Established professional standing and credibility within the applicable region;
- Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-management skills;
- Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with senior business, legal and institutional stakeholders;
- Strong understanding of the applicable regional professional, institutional and commercial environment;
- Demonstrated ability to manage regional responsibilities independently while maintaining effective coordination with GAC.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills;
- Strong written and spoken proficiency in the relevant regional language(s) of the designated region.
EXPERIENCE PROFILE

- Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience within the applicable region;
- Relevant experience in law, arbitration, mediation, business development, international business, consulting, professional services, institutional relations, trade, or related fields;
- Demonstrated ability to independently develop and execute commercial opportunities for GAC within the designated region and in accordance with applicable GAC authority and requirements;
- Established professional, institutional or commercial networks within the applicable region;
- Proven experience engaging with senior executives, business owners, legal professionals, institutions, or other senior stakeholders;
- Experience in cross-border or international commercial activities will be an advantage; and
- Experience in arbitration, mediation, ADR, international commercial expansion or related areas will be an advantage.

- Robust and verifiable professional, institutional and commercial networks;
- Established relationships with enterprises, institutions, legal professionals and senior business stakeholders;
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the applicable regional market;
- Demonstrated ability to independently develop and execute commercial opportunities for GAC within the designated region and in accordance with applicable GAC authority and requirements;
- High standards of professional integrity, discretion and sound judgment; and
- Demonstrated ability to manage regional responsibilities independently while maintaining effective coordination with GAC
