System Test Lead – IoT Network Platform (RF Mesh)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced System Test Lead to lead testing and validation for large-scale IoT network platforms based on RF Mesh technology. The role will focus on defining test strategies, driving automation, validating network performance, and ensuring high levels of reliability, scalability, and quality across real-world deployments.

You will work closely with RF, hardware, firmware, cloud, product, and field teams while leading a team of system and test engineers.

Key Responsibilities

- Define and own the system-level test strategy for RF Mesh-based IoT platforms.
- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and validation procedures covering:
- Network scalability and reliability
- Device provisioning and firmware upgrades
- RF communication performance, packet loss, latency, and link quality
- Cloud integration and data management
- Lead and mentor a team of system and test engineers.
- Collaborate with product, firmware, hardware, RF, cloud, and field teams to ensure complete test coverage.
- Drive both manual and automated testing across IoT network environments.
- Build and maintain test automation frameworks, scripts, and tools for large-scale validation.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and coordinate with engineering teams for resolution.
- Support CI/CD-based testing and continuous quality improvements.
- Conduct stress, scalability, performance, and long-duration reliability testing.




- Validate network behavior across different topologies, interference conditions, and real-world environments.
- Monitor key metrics such as packet delivery ratio, latency, throughput, and device uptime.
- Maintain test reports, dashboards, test strategies, SOPs, and troubleshooting documentation.
- Provide technical insights and recommendations to improve platform reliability, performance, and maintainability.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electronics, Communication, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline.
- 5–10 years of experience in system testing, QA, embedded systems, IoT, or wireless networks, including experience in a lead role.
- Strong understanding of RF Mesh technologies, including Wi-SUN, IEEE 802.15.4g/e, 6LoWPAN, and RPL.
- Hands-on experience in IoT network validation, scalability testing, and performance benchmarking.
- Experience with test automation, scripting using Python/Shell, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools, packet analysis, test instrumentation, and field testing.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Valuable to Have




- Experience with Smart Metering, Smart City, or Industrial IoT deployments.
- Knowledge of cloud integration, API testing, and device management platforms.
- Familiarity with RF testing tools, packet analyzers, and network simulators.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent testing certification.
- Experience working in Agile or fast-paced product/startup environments.
- Exposure to AI-assisted testing, intelligent test automation, or data-driven test analysis.
