Job Purpose: Database Administrator is responsible for managing Database across various technologies. He needs to assess database performance, develop performance metrics, coordinate project activities with other team members, develop detailed project plans. He is responsible for sizing Database servers based on the requirement, providing database related support for capacity & performance management, change & incident management, planning & upgrading end of life & end of support database products, adhere to defined compliance & security measures, identify query, which is impacting database performance, ensure that database management systems can handle massive quantities of data.
