Responsibilities:

In this position, the projects will have an emphasis on drainage, floodplain/floodway delineation, detention pond design, reservoir routing, urban drainage systems design, sheet flow analysis, flood mitigation, and floodplain management.

Position responsibilities will include:

- - Working with a group of engineers in the performance of water resources, drainage, surface water hydrology and hydraulics design related projects;
- Developing understanding and knowledge of frequently used software such as HEC programs, XP-SWMM, etc.
- Using sound technical skills to analyze and design water resources engineering projects.
- Writing reports to document analysis and design
- Attending meetings with project managers and engineers and clients
- Gaining knowledge in the development of construction documents, plans & specifications.

Qualifications:

- MS in Civil Engineering with emphasis in hydrology/hydraulics, water resources or related field
- Minimum 4 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Technical proficiency in drainage analysis and design




- Experience with related software/modeling programs including HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, XP-SWMM, etc.
- Positive communication and organizational skills, especially technical writing.
- Highly motivated and passionate about a career in surface water hydrology and hydraulics
- Related local experience a plus
- Working knowledge of GIS is a plus
