About the Role

Mermaid Boutique is looking for an experienced Bridal Boutique Designer with strong practical knowledge of bridal blouse designing, custom stitching, garment fitting and tailoring coordination.

We specialize in customized bridal blouses, bridal wear and designer outfits. We need someone who can independently handle customers, guide the tailoring team and maintain our quality standards.

This position is not suitable for freshers or candidates without genuine, hands-on boutique experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle customer consultations, design finalization and accurate measurements.
- Design bridal blouses and customized outfits based on customer requirements.
- Advise customers on fabrics, fitting, patterns, embroidery and handwork.
- Coordinate with cutting masters, tailors, handworkers and finishing staff.
- Supervise stitching, conduct trial fittings and manage necessary alterations.
- Maintain quality standards, production records and delivery schedules.

Required Skills & Experience

- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a bridal boutique or custom-stitching unit.
- Robust knowledge of bridal blouse designing, construction, measurements and fitting corrections.
- Understanding of fabrics, embroidery, handwork and garment finishing.
- Ability to identify stitching errors and guide tailors on corrections.
- Good customer-handling, communication and production-coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple orders independently.

Knowledge of Kerala and South Indian bridal styles is an advantage. A formal fashion-design qualification is preferred but not mandatory.

Work Details

- Job Type: Full-time
- Location: Mermaid Boutique, City Centre, Fort Road, Kannur
- Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Salary: ₹15,000–₹30,000 per month, depending on skills and experience.

One-Month Probation Period

All selected candidates will undergo a one-month probation period to evaluate their practical skills,



work quality, customer handling and ability to meet our requirements.

Salary during probation will be determined by demonstrated skills and relevant experience and mutually agreed upon before joining. Continued employment will depend on satisfactory performance. Candidates who fail to meet the required standards may not be confirmed, subject to applicable employment terms and law.
