STORE MANAGER CUM OPTOMETRIST

Qualification : Bachelor of Clinical Optometry (B.Optom) / Diploma in Optometry

Compensation : Up to ₹35,000 CTC per month (Negotiable based on experience)

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a skilled and agile Store Manager cum Optometrist to manage both clinical eye-care consultations and daily store operations. The role requires delivering accurate refractive eye examinations while driving store sales, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Clinical & Optometry:

- Perform precise visual acuity tests, subjective & objective refractions, and anterior segment evaluations.

- Prescribe appropriate corrective lenses, coatings, and contact lenses based on individual customer requirements.

- Educate customers on lens options (single vision, bifocal, progressive), frame fittings, and proper eye health care.

- Manage trial lens sets, autorefractometer, slit lamp, and other optical instruments with proper hygiene and calibration.

Store Operations & Management:

- Oversee day-to-day store operations, opening/closing procedures, and showroom visual merchandising.





- Drive monthly/quarterly sales targets for frames, ophthalmic lenses, sunglasses, and contact lenses.

- Handle inventory management, stock audits, daily cash reconciliation, and billing on the POS/retail software.

- Lead, mentor, and motivate retail staff to achieve store conversion targets and upsell/cross-sell optical products.

- Resolve customer escalations, manage delivery timelines, and maintain high standards of customer retention and satisfaction.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

- Education: Bachelor of Optometry (B.Optom) is mandatory.

- Experience: Minimum 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience handling eye testing as well as optical store management.

- Strong technical expertise in progressive lens fitting, frame adjustments, and optical sales conversions.

- Sound commercial acumen with basic knowledge of retail POS systems and inventory tracking.

- Good communication skills in Bengali, Hindi, and English.
