Job Description – Junior Accountant

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, GST compliance, vendor/customer reconciliations, and general finance activities.

The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of Tally/ERP accounting, GST, MS Excel, and basic Indian accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Record purchase, sales, receipt, payment, journal, and expense entries.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and supporting documentation.
- Verify invoices, bills, vouchers, and financial documents.
- Maintain cash and bank books.
- Process vendor invoices and maintain vendor ledgers.
- Maintain customer outstanding reports and assist with payment follow-ups.
- Perform customer, vendor, and bank reconciliations.
- Assist with GSTR-2B and purchase register reconciliation.
- Verify GSTIN, HSN/SAC codes, GST rates, and tax amounts.
- Assist with GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance.
- Maintain accounting records related to domestic and export transactions.
- Prepare basic MIS reports, ageing reports, expense summaries, and reconciliations.
- Assist with monthly closing and audit requirements.
- Coordinate with purchase, sales, stores, production, dispatch, and management.





Qualifications & Skills

- / / equivalent qualification preferred.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience.
- Good knowledge of Tally Prime or similar accounting ERP.
- Working knowledge of GST and basic Indian taxation.
- Valuable working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Understanding of accounting principles, debit/credit, journal entries, and ledgers.
- Good attention to detail and numerical ability.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.

Preferred

- Experience in a manufacturing or trading company.
- Knowledge of TDS.
- Experience with GSTR-2B reconciliation.
- Knowledge of export documentation and accounting.
- Experience with Odoo, Zoho Books, or other ERP systems.
- Basic understanding of inventory accounting.

Salary

₹15,000 – ₹40,000 per month, depending on qualification, experience, skills, and overall suitability for the role.
