PDI Supervisor – Job Description

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and manage the Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) process for all new vehicles.
- Ensure every vehicle is inspected thoroughly before delivery to the customer.
- Check vehicle condition, body, paint, electrical systems, tyres, battery, lights, brakes and other important components.
- Verify vehicle accessories, tools, documents and other delivery items.
- Identify and report any damage, defects or missing items before delivery.
- Coordinate with the Technician, Service, Sales and Spare Parts teams for rectification of identified issues.
- Ensure all PDI-related work is completed within the required time.
- Maintain proper PDI checklists, inspection records and vehicle documentation.
- Conduct final quality checks before handing over the vehicle to the Sales/Delivery Team.
- Ensure vehicles are properly cleaned, prepared and presented for customer delivery.
- Monitor vehicle movement and maintain proper records of vehicles received, inspected and delivered.
- Ensure compliance with company/TVS PDI and delivery procedures.




- Handle and report any vehicle damage during stockyard/showroom movement.
- Train and guide PDI staff/technicians on proper inspection procedures.
- Coordinate with the Sales Team to ensure vehicles are ready as per the delivery schedule.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety and discipline in the PDI/work area.
- Prepare daily PDI status and pending-work reports for management.
- Ensure 100% quality and customer satisfaction at the time of vehicle delivery.

Candidate Requirements

- Diploma/Degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Experience in automobile dealership, PDI, workshop or vehicle inspection will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of vehicle components and basic troubleshooting.
- Good team-management and coordination skills.
- Ability to identify vehicle defects and ensure timely rectification.
- Basic computer knowledge and documentation skills.
- Good communication, responsibility and attention to detail.
- Ability to work according to delivery schedules and company targets.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
