About ProtonCraft
ProtonCraft Innovation Pvt Ltd is a deep-tech cleantech startup turning industrial waste gas into clean fuel. Our electrochemical process splits hydrogen sulfide (H₂S), a toxic by-product of refineries, oil & gas and biogas plants, into green hydrogen and elemental sulfur.
We are a small, quick-moving team. Interns work directly on our core hardware, not side projects.
What you'll do
- Design and integrate instrumentation for electrolyser test setups: gas, pressure, temperature, flow and level sensors.
- Build data acquisition systems to log cell voltage, current and process parameters in real time.
- Develop embedded firmware on microcontrollers (Arduino, ESP32, STM32 or similar) for monitoring and control.
- Work with DC power supplies and power electronics that drive the electrolysis process.
- Implement safety interlocks and alarms for gas leaks, over-current and over-temperature conditions.
- Design, assemble and debug PCBs, wiring harnesses and control panels.
- Support remote monitoring and dashboards using IoT protocols (Modbus, MQTT or similar).
- Join lab experiments and field work: installing,
calibrating and troubleshooting electronics at pilot sites.
- Document circuits, wiring diagrams, test results and standard operating procedures.
Who should apply
- B.E./B.Tech in Electronics & Telecommunication (ENTC), Electronics or Instrumentation: final-year students or recent graduates.
- Hands-on experience with microcontrollers and embedded C/C++ or Python.
- Understanding of sensors, signal conditioning and analog/digital circuits.
- Comfortable with lab tools: multimeter, oscilloscope, soldering station, power supplies.
- Willing to travel for field work and follow lab safety protocols.
- Available full-time for the entire 6 months.
Valuable to have
- PCB design experience with KiCad, Eagle or Altium.
- Exposure to PLC, SCADA or HMI systems.
- Knowledge of power electronics: rectifiers, DC-DC converters, current control.
- Familiarity with LabVIEW, Python or MATLAB for data logging and analysis.
- Genuine interest in green hydrogen and clean energy.
What you'll gain
- Build real control and monitoring systems for electrolyser hardware, from bench to pilot site.
- Hands-on exposure to green hydrogen technology at an early-stage deep-tech startup.
- Work closely with the R&D; team on real industrial problems.
- Internship certificate on completion.
