QC Engineer – Fabrication / Pressure Vessel

Experience: Relevant experience in Quality Control / Fabrication
Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering
Salary: ₹30,000 – ₹40,000 per month
Industry: Heavy Engineering / Fabrication / Pressure Vessel

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure compliance with international standards such as ASME, ASTM, API, AWS & ISO.
- Review and approve WPS, PQR and welding-related documentation.
- Conduct stage-wise inspection from raw material verification, plate layout, fabrication and welding to final pressure testing.
- Prepare and implement project-specific ITP, QAP and Quality Procedures.
- Identify shop-floor quality issues and conduct Root Cause Analysis & CAPA.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors and third-party inspection agencies for inspection and witnessing activities.
- Verify fabrication quality as per approved drawings,



specifications and project requirements.
- Inspect Hydro/Pneumatic testing and surface treatment activities.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of welding processes, metallurgy and welding defects.
- Valuable understanding of ASME / API / AWS / ASTM standards.
- Ability to read fabrication drawings, GAD & P&ID;.
- Hands-on experience with precision measurement instruments.
- Good documentation and inspection reporting skills.
- Experience in pressure vessel / heavy fabrication / engineering industry will be preferred.
