About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to manage the day-to-day financial and accounting operations of our jewellery showroom. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in jewellery retail accounting and a good understanding of sales, purchase, stock, cash, GST, and financial reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day accounting and financial transactions of the jewellery showroom.
- Record sales, purchases, receipts, payments, expenses, and journal entries.
- Maintain accurate records of gold, diamond, silver, and other jewellery transactions.
- Handle cash, bank, UPI, card, and other payment reconciliations.
- Perform daily cash and bank reconciliation.
- Maintain customer outstanding and supplier/vendor accounts.
- Verify jewellery invoices, purchase bills, sales invoices, and supporting documents.
- Coordinate with the sales and store teams for accurate transaction and stock records.
- Monitor jewellery stock-related accounting and reconcile physical and system stock.
- Handle GST-related accounting, including purchase and sales data preparation.
- Assist in GST returns, TDS, and other statutory compliance activities.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly accounting reports.
- Maintain proper documentation and records for audit purposes.




- Coordinate with management, auditors, and external accountants when required.

Requirements

- 1–3 years of accounting experience; jewellery retail experience is preferred.
- Positive knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Experience with Tally / ERP / accounting software is preferred.
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, invoicing, and reconciliation.
- Good understanding of jewellery sales and purchase transactions will be an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good Excel and MS Office skills.
- Honest, responsible, and able to handle confidential financial information.
- Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Skills

- Jewellery showroom accounting experience.
- Knowledge of gold rate, making charges, wastage, discounts, and jewellery billing.
- Experience handling high-value transactions.
- Knowledge of stock reconciliation and jewellery inventory accounting.
