The ideal candidate will provide a vital auditory and expressive outlet for our students, teaching them to master vocal techniques and physical instruments. You will inspire students to explore global cultures through traditional and contemporary music, helping them develop auditory skills, stage confidence, discipline, and an appreciation for melody and harmony that complements their high-tech academic environment. *Key Responsibilities* *1. Progressive Curriculum Development:* Design and deliver a comprehensive vocal and instrumental music curriculum aligned with global educational frameworks (such as IB, IGCSE, or CBSE). *2. Mastery of Vocal & Instrumental Techniques:* Instruct students in a wide variety of techniques, including Indian classical & Western vocal, harmonium, keyboard, guitar, tabla, drums, and other percussion and string instruments. *3.



Global Musical Exploration:* Introduce students to diverse global music histories, traditional folk music, classical ragas, Western classical movements, and contemporary genres, fostering an inclusive perspective on world music heritage. *4. Music Room & Instrument Management:* Maintain an organized, safe, and inspiring music room. Manage and maintain all musical instruments, ensuring tuning, safety, and access to high-quality instruments for students. *5. Performance & Event Curation:* Organize, train, and curate high-profile musical performances, annual day concerts, inter-school competitions, assemblies, and interactive showcases that celebrate student talent with the wider school community. *6. Interdisciplinary Collaboration:* Collaborate with other departments (including Dance, Theatre, and Art) to bring musical composition, rhythm, and sound design into cross-curricular projects and school events. *Required Qualifications* *Education:* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music (B.A./M.A. in Music), Vocal Music, Instrumental Music, or a related field. Diploma in Music (Sangeet Visharad / Prabhakar) will be preferred.
