Camera Person / Reporter Intern

The Global Glitch | Delhi NCR

About The Global Glitch

The Global Glitch is an independent digital news platform focused on ground reports, people-driven stories, social issues, breaking developments and stories that mainstream media often overlooks.
We’re looking for a Camera Person / Reporter Intern who wants to get out of the studio and onto the ground — filming, asking questions, finding stories and helping us tell them in a sharp, engaging and factual way.

What you’ll do

Join us on ground reporting assignments across Delhi NCR.
Shoot interviews, establishing shots, B-roll, protests, events and on-ground developments.
Conduct street interviews and vox pops with members of the public.
Assist with researching and identifying interesting local stories.
Interview people confidently and ask relevant follow-up questions.
Help gather facts, documents, visuals and statements for stories.
Shoot footage suitable for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and YouTube videos.
Help with basic framing, composition, audio and lighting.
Work closely with the reporter/editor to turn raw footage into compelling news content.
Be comfortable working in unpredictable environments and approaching strangers professionally.
Follow basic journalistic principles including accuracy, fairness, verification and responsible reporting.

Who we’re looking for

Journalism, mass communication, media, film or related students/graduates are preferred — but not mandatory.
Someone genuinely interested in news, current affairs and ground reporting.
Comfortable approaching and interviewing strangers.
Good communication skills and the confidence to ask difficult questions.
Able to shoot good-quality video on a phone or camera.
Basic knowledge of framing, composition and audio.
Willing to travel around Delhi NCR for assignments.
Curious, proactive and willing to find stories rather than simply wait for instructions.
Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
Solid sense of ethics and responsibility when reporting sensitive stories.

What you’ll get
Real-world newsroom and ground-reporting experience
Opportunities to work on original stories and investigations
Hands-on experience with interviewing, filming and field reporting
A chance to build a journalism portfolio
Byline/credit on published work where applicable
Exposure to the complete process from story idea → reporting → filming → publication
Opportunity to work closely with the founding/editorial team
Potential for continued work with The Global Glitch based on performance

Pay: From ₹1,000.00 per month
