Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly diligent and experienced Retired Police Inspector to join our Risk and Compliance team as a Background Verification (BGV) Specialist. In this role, you will leverage your extensive investigative expertise, local network, and knowledge of legal/criminal records to conduct thorough, accurate, and high-integrity background checks on potential employees and corporate partners.

Key Responsibilities

- Address & Field Verification: Conduct physical and address verifications of candidates or vendors to ensure authenticity.
- Criminal Record Checks: Coordinate with local police stations, commissioner offices, and judicial records to verify the criminal antecedents of applicants.
- Document Authentication: Review and validate official identity documents, certificates, and past references to identify potential fraud or discrepancies.
- Liaison & Networking: Utilize existing networks within law enforcement agencies, municipal bodies, and local authorities to expedite the verification process.
- Investigation & Reporting: Investigate red flags or suspicious profiles and compile comprehensive, objective assessment reports for management.
- Compliance & Confidentiality:



Maintain absolute confidentiality of all applicant data in compliance with corporate policies and data privacy laws.

Required Qualifications and Experience

- Experience: Retired as a Police Inspector, Sub-Inspector, or an equivalent rank from the Police Department or Central Investigating Agencies.
- Service Record: Clean track record during active police service with zero disciplinary issues.
- Skills: Strong investigative, interviewing, and observation skills.
- Local Knowledge: Deep understanding of local geography, police jurisdiction procedures, and administrative protocols.
- Tech-Savviness: Basic knowledge of operating smart devices, email, and basic computer applications (MS Word/Excel) for report submission.
- Language: Proficiency in the local language and a working knowledge of English or Hindi.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
