About the Role

Akshar Yoga Kendraa (AYK) is expanding its digital and educational presence and is looking for a competent, hands-on Website Manager & SEO Specialist to join our Bengaluru team as a full-time, in-house professional.

As a Leading Yoga Institution, AYK requires its website and digital presence to reflect the scale, credibility and professional standards of the organisation.

We are looking for someone who can take complete day-to-day ownership of the AYK website—keeping it current, technically sound, visually professional, fast, secure and search-optimised—while simultaneously strengthening AYK's visibility across Google through effective SEO.

This is not merely a website content-upload role. We are looking for someone who understands websites as an key part of an organisation's brand, communication, lead-generation and digital growth infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

- Take complete ownership of the day-to-day management and maintenance of the Akshar Yoga Kendraa website.
- Regularly update programmes, courses, events, faculty information, achievements, institutional information, images, videos, banners and landing pages.
- Create and manage new pages and programme landing pages as AYK expands its portfolio of Yoga courses and certifications.
- Ensure that all website information remains accurate, current, professionally presented and aligned with AYK's brand identity.
- Manage the website CMS and coordinate or execute necessary front-end changes.
- Identify and resolve broken links, page errors, formatting issues, mobile responsiveness problems and other website-related concerns.
- Monitor and improve website speed, performance, navigation and overall user experience.
- Ensure proper website backups, updates and basic security protocols.
- Coordinate with designers, content teams, developers and management whenever specialised technical work is required.

SEO & Google Visibility

The candidate should also be capable of independently managing AYK's ongoing Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) requirements.

Responsibilities will include:

- Develop and execute AYK's on-page and technical SEO strategy.
- Conduct keyword research relevant to Yoga courses,



Yoga teacher training, Yoga certification, Yoga therapy, meditation, wellness programmes and AYK's other areas of work.
- Optimise page titles, meta descriptions, headings, URLs, internal linking, image alt text and website content.
- Improve the organic ranking of AYK's important programme and institutional pages.
- Manage and monitor Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
- Track keyword rankings, organic traffic, enquiries, conversions and website performance.
- Identify indexing, crawling, sitemap, redirect, canonical and other technical SEO issues.
- Work on local SEO and Google Business Profile optimisation wherever applicable.
- Recommend new SEO-focused pages, articles and content opportunities based on search demand.
- Coordinate with the content team for SEO-oriented blogs, programme pages and institutional content.
- Monitor competitors and identify opportunities to improve AYK's search visibility.
- Provide concise monthly SEO and website-performance reports to management.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a hands-on professional, not someone who only coordinates with external agencies.

The candidate should ideally have:

- 3+ years of relevant experience in website management, WordPress/CMS management, SEO or digital website operations.
- Strong practical knowledge of WordPress or comparable CMS platforms.
- Proven experience in on-page SEO, technical SEO and local SEO.
- Working knowledge of Google Search Console, Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Business Profile.
- Understanding of HTML/CSS and basic website troubleshooting will be highly advantageous.
- Experience with SEO tools such as Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog or equivalent platforms will be preferred.
- Ability to create, edit and publish website pages independently.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly for institutional information,



programme details and public-facing content.
- Good written English and the ability to understand how website content should be structured for both users and search engines.
- Ability to manage multiple website updates and priorities with minimal supervision.

How can website visitors be converted into genuine programme enquiries?

We are looking for someone who will take ownership rather than wait for instructions for every individual task.

Mandatory Application Requirements

Candidates applying for this position must submit:

- 2–5 live websites personally managed by them, clearly mentioning their role and responsibilities for each website.
- Actual SEO results achieved, such as improvements in Google rankings, organic traffic, impressions, clicks, leads or conversions.
- Screenshots or reports from Google Search Console / GA4 / recognised SEO platforms demonstrating results wherever possible.
- Examples of pages or landing pages they have personally created, optimised or significantly improved.
- A brief explanation of one website/SEO project they personally owned—the challenge, actions taken and measurable outcome.

Applications without relevant website work samples and demonstrable SEO experience may not be considered for this position.
