Position: Restaurant Captain

Department: Food & Beverage – Service

Reporting To: Assistant Restaurant Manager

Location: Serenity, MIT ADT Rajbaug Campus, Loni Kalbhor, Pune

JOB PURPOSE

To supervise restaurant service operations, ensure excellent guest experience, maintain service

standards and coordinate effectively between guests, service staff and kitchen.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 Supervise daily restaurant service and ensure smooth operation of the assigned section.

 Welcome and assist guests with a professional and courteous approach.

 Take guest orders accurately and ensure timely coordination with the kitchen and beverage

team.

 Ensure food and beverages are served according to approved standards of quality,

presentation and temperature.

 Allocate tables/sections to service staff and monitor their performance.

 Brief the service team before each shift regarding reservations, special instructions, menu

changes and daily priorities.

 Monitor table setup, cleanliness, service sequence and overall restaurant appearance.

 Handle guest requests, feedback and complaints professionally and escalate responsible issues

to the Manager.

 Coordinate with Kitchen, Barista, Store and Stewarding teams for smooth service.

 Check availability of cutlery, crockery, glassware, napkins and other service requirements.

 Ensure proper billing and coordinate with the cashier/POS team when required.

 Follow FSSAI, HACCP, hygiene, safety and company SOP standards.

 Monitor wastage,



breakage and service-related losses and report them to management.

 Complete opening and closing checklists and ensure proper handover between shifts.

 Train and guide Servers, Stewards and junior service staff on service standards.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

 Minimum 2–4 years of experience in restaurant, hotel or café service.

 Diploma/Degree in Hospitality Management preferred.

 Good knowledge of restaurant service procedures and guest handling.

 Knowledge of POS and basic billing procedures preferred.

 Good communication and leadership skills.

 Ability to work under pressure during peak operations.

 Willingness to work in shifts, weekends and holidays.

Responsible for smooth service operations, guest satisfaction, team supervision, service standards,

hygiene and coordination between the restaurant service team and other operating departments.

Pay: ₹11,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
