Position- Accountant - Dubai Back Office

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented accountant to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial records, maintain compliance, and support management with timely reporting and analysis.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, statutory compliance (VAT/CT), and final accounts, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage Accounts Payable (A/P) for local and foreign agents, including processing payments (cheque/online).
- Handle commission payments for customers and employees.
- Process and verify purchase bills for vendors, transporters, credit cards.
- Record and maintain all receipts (cheque, cash, TT) and ensure proper documentation.
- Record Post-Dated Cheques from customers.
- Manage receipt entries, including A/R, and support Credit Control (Accounts Receivable).
- Monitor and follow up on customer payments and aging reports.
- Ensure VAT and Corporate Tax compliance and timely filing.
- Assist with audit requirements and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
- Track and monitor open job costs and un-invoiced shipment jobs.




- Manage re-opening and closing of jobs in coordination with Operations.
- Prepare and support final accounts, including Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, and other financial statements.
- Prepare and submit various management reports and special reports as required.
- Perform reconciliations
- Implement and maintain efficient accounting processes and controls.
- Support management with financial analysis and ad-hoc reporting.

Qualification & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (B.Com, ACCA, CA, CMA).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounts/finance, preferably in logistics, freight forwarding, or a similar industry.

Skills & Competencies

- Robust knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, and final accounts.
- Hands-on experience with VAT and Corporate Tax (CT) compliance in the UAE.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Good understanding of banking processes.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹46,000.00 per month
