Help patients turn health goals into everyday habits.

A patient may know they want to lose weight but still need help understanding where to begin, what is

appropriate for their health, and how to stay consistent.

At MetaGo Health, our non-GLP-1 weight-loss program brings together medical guidance, personalised

nutrition, fitness coaching, and ongoing support. We’re looking for an MBBS doctor who enjoys counselling

patients, making health information practical, and supporting progress over time.

MetaGo Health is a doctor-led metabolic healthcare platform helping individuals achieve sustainable weight

loss and better health through personalised, coordinated care.

Our non-GLP-1 program focuses on nutrition, physical activity, behavioural change, and regular medical

reviews, with a team that helps patients apply their plans in everyday life.

Your Role

You will be the medical guide for patients enrolled in our lifestyle-based weight-loss program. You will assess

their health, identify concerns that require further evaluation, and work with nutritionists and fitness

coaches to support an appropriate, achievable plan.

This role focuses on the non-GLP-1 program and does not include managing GLP-1 therapy.

Key Responsibilities

 Understand the patient: Conduct initial consultations covering medical history, weight concerns, daily

routines, previous weight-loss attempts, and personal goals.

 Assess suitability:



Evaluate readiness for the program and identify medical concerns that need

investigation, specialist input, or referral.

 Provide medical guidance: Recommend and review relevant investigations within your scope of

practice, and explain findings clearly.

 Support personalised plans: Coordinate with nutritionists and fitness coaches so recommendations

account for each patient’s health needs and limitations.

 Review progress: Conduct follow-ups, address concerns, and help patients navigate plateaus and

barriers to consistency.

 Encourage sustainable habits: Counsel patients on realistic goals, physical activity, sleep, stress, and

long-term lifestyle changes.

 Coordinate referrals: Identify patients who may need specialist care or assessment for other treatment

options.

 Document care: Maintain accurate consultation records, progress notes, and follow-up plans.

Qualifications & Experience

 MBBS with valid medical council registration.

 Minimum 1 year of clinical experience.

 Interest in preventive healthcare, lifestyle medicine, or weight management.

 Experience in outpatient consultations, patient counselling, or ongoing follow-up care is preferred.

 A postgraduate qualification is not required.
