Experience: Approximately 2 years in Linux system administration, infrastructure support, NOC, or a DevOps/SRE-adjacent role.

Technical — must have:

Linux (essential): Confident on the command line. Strong grasp of the filesystem, permissions, users and groups, processes, systemd services, package management, and log analysis. Able to diagnose why a service failed to start.

Networking: IP addressing and subnetting, ports and protocols, DNS, routing basics, firewall rules. Able to trace a request end-to-end and explainwhere it broke.

Monitoring: Practical exposure to any monitoring tool — Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, Nagios, Datadog, or similar. Understands what metrics, dashboards, and alerts are for.

Virtualisation or cloud: Hands-on with VMware, Proxmox, KVM, OpenStack, or a public cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) — creating and managing VMs, networks, storage, and access controls.

Scripting: Bash at working level; Python a plus. Able to automate a repetitive task.

Version control: Basic Git.

Documentation: Clear written English. Must be able to write a procedure another engineer can follow.

Good to have:

Docker or Podman, NGINX or any reverse proxy, MySQL or PostgreSQL basics, Ansible, ELK/OpenSearch, Keycloak or any SSO, RHCSA / LFCS / CCNA / AWSor Azure Associate certification.

B.E. / B.Tech / MCA / BCA / B.Sc IT, or equivalent demonstrated practical capability.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
