Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Production Manager to manage the complete garment production process, from planning and job-card allocation to stitching, finishing, quality control, packing, and timely dispatch.

The Production Manager will be responsible for achieving production targets while maintaining quality, productivity, cost efficiency, and delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities1. Production Planning & Execution

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans as per order requirements.
- Allocate production targets to different departments and production lines.
- Ensure timely execution of job cards and production orders.
- Monitor production against planned targets and take corrective action for any shortfall.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, and production capacity.
- Coordinate with management, merchandising, inventory, purchase, and dispatch teams.

2. Production Monitoring

- Monitor daily production output department-wise.
- Track WIP (Work in Progress) and ensure smooth movement of material between processes.
- Identify production bottlenecks and resolve them promptly.
- Maintain daily production reports and share performance updates with management.
- Monitor production efficiency and productivity of workers and contractors.

3. Quality Control

- Ensure garments are manufactured according to approved samples, specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with the Quality Team to identify and reduce defects.
- Ensure proper checking at stitching, finishing, pressing, packing, and final inspection stages.
- Take corrective and preventive action for recurring quality issues.

Manpower Management

- Plan manpower requirements according to production targets.
- Allocate workers/operators efficiently across departments.
- Monitor attendance, productivity, overtime, and performance.
- Maintain discipline and ensure adherence to production-floor policies.
- Identify manpower gaps and coordinate with HR for recruitment requirements.
- Train and guide supervisors and production teams.

5. Production Cost & Efficiency

- Control production costs and minimize wastage.
- Monitor overtime and ensure it is utilized only when required.
- Improve manpower and machine productivity.
- Reduce rejection, rework, wastage, and production delays.
- Implement process improvements to increase overall production efficiency.

6. Coordination with Other Departments

- Coordinate with Merchandising for order specifications, samples, and production requirements.
- Coordinate with Inventory/SCM for availability of fabric, trims, accessories, and other materials.
- Coordinate with Purchase for timely availability of required materials.
- Coordinate with Quality for quality standards and inspection.
- Coordinate with Dispatch/Warehouse to ensure timely completion and dispatch of finished goods.
- Coordinate with HR/Admin for manpower and disciplinary matters.

7. Wizaap / ERP Management

- Ensure proper use of Wizaap/ERP for production-related processes.
- Monitor job cards, production entries, material movement, and production status.
- Ensure production data is updated accurately and on time.




- Use system reports to track production performance and pending orders.

8. Production Targets & KPIs

- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Monitor department-wise productivity and efficiency.
- Maintain production as per required capacity and delivery schedules.
- Ensure minimum rejection and rework levels.
- Monitor on-time completion of production orders.
- Improve production efficiency and reduce production lead time.

Candidate Profile

Experience: 5–10 years of relevant experience in garment manufacturing, preferably in school uniforms, institutional wear, or similar apparel manufacturing.

Qualification: Graduate/Diploma in Garment Technology, Textile, Fashion, Production Management, or a related field preferred.
