About Position:

We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer – Data Engineering to validate data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and analytics solutions across modern enterprise data platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing automated testing frameworks, performing data validation activities, and ensuring the accuracy, quality, consistency, and reliability of data assets. This role requires hands-on experience in Data Testing, SQL, Python automation, ETL validation, and data quality assurance. You will work closely with Data Engineers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and QA teams to deliver high-quality and reliable data solutions that support enterprise analytics and business intelligence initiatives.

What You'll Do:

- Validate ETL/ELT data pipelines and data transformation workflows.
- Perform source-to-target data validation and reconciliation testing.
- Verify data quality, data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity across multiple systems.
- Create, execute, and maintain test cases,



test scenarios, and validation scripts.
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks for data engineering applications.
- Create SQL-based and Python-based automated test scripts.
- Automate regression, integration, functional, and data quality testing processes.
- Integrate automated testing frameworks with CI/CD pipelines.
- Validate data warehouse, data lake, and analytics platform implementations.
- Perform database testing using complex SQL queries and validation techniques.
- Test batch and real-time data processing solutions.
- Validate business rules, transformation logic, and source-to-target mappings.
- Identify, document, track, and verify defects through their lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers and Business Analysts to investigate and resolve issues.
- Prepare test execution reports, quality dashboards, and testing metrics.
- Participate in requirement reviews, sprint planning sessions, and Agile ceremonies.
- Ensure adherence to data quality standards and testing best practices.
- Support test automation and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Expertise You'll Bring:

- 2–5 years of experience in Data Testing, ETL Testing, Data Quality Engineering, or QA Automation.
- Strong SQL expertise for data validation, reconciliation, profiling, and database testing.
- Hands-on experience in ETL/ELT testing, transformation validation, and data pipeline testing.
- Strong understanding of Data Warehousing, Data Lake concepts, and analytics platforms.
- Experience with source-to-target validation, reconciliation testing, and data quality assurance.
- Proficiency in Python for test automation and validation framework development.
- Experience developing automated testing frameworks for data engineering applications.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, PyTest, TestNG, or equivalent frameworks.
- Strong understanding of database testing methodologies and validation techniques.
- Experience creating test cases, test scenarios, automated scripts, and test data.
- Knowledge of defect lifecycle management and bug tracking processes.
- Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar project and defect management tools.




- Familiarity with Git and source code management practices.
- Experience validating large-volume, structured, and semi-structured datasets.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks testing and data validation activities.
- Exposure to PySpark validation and Big Data testing environments.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Experience with API testing and data integration testing.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration practices.
- Knowledge of data quality frameworks and data governance concepts.
- Robust analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience supporting Agile delivery teams and participating in sprint ceremonies.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
