1. Job Purpose

To operate, monitor, and maintain the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) efficiently to ensure smooth plant operations, treated water quality, and compliance with applicable standards.

2. Roles and Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor all STP equipment as per the operating procedures and site requirements.
- Monitor the collection tank, equalization tank, aeration tank, clarifier, treated water tank, and sludge holding tank.
- Check and maintain pH, MLSS, dissolved oxygen (DO), and other required water quality parameters.
- Monitor pumps, blowers, agitators, diffusers, filter systems, and other electro-mechanical equipment.
- Ensure continuous aeration and proper sludge recirculation wherever applicable to the treatment process.
- Perform filter backwashing and other routine process operations as required.
- Monitor sludge accumulation and carry out sludge withdrawal as instructed by the supervisor.
- Maintain daily operating records, including equipment running hours, water flow, chemical consumption, and water quality readings.




- Identify equipment breakdowns, abnormal operating conditions, and process issues and report them immediately to the supervisor.
- Maintain plant cleanliness and follow proper housekeeping practices.
- Follow safety procedures and use the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive maintenance and breakdown rectification.
- Ensure treated water is reused or discharged as per site instructions and applicable requirements.
- Maintain shift handover records and communicate operational issues to the next shift operator.
- Follow instructions issued by the site supervisor and company management.

3. Qualification

- ITI / Diploma / B.Sc. Chemistry or any relevant qualification.
- Candidates with relevant STP operations experience are preferred.

4. Experience

- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in STP operations is preferred.
- Freshers with relevant technical qualifications may also apply, subject to company requirements.

Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
