Provide deep academic and technical expertise in one of the listed subjects for grades 9-12. Translate Haryana curriculum and learning standards into competency-based assessment frameworks, blueprints, items, sample papers, marking schemes, training materials, HPC tools, and SQAAF-aligned school-quality guidance

Primary Responsiblities:

- Interpret Haryana grades 9-12 curricula, syllabi, learning outcomes, and standards and align them with NCF-SE, PARAKH, and state priorities.
- Lead subject-specific curriculum mapping and develop assessment frameworks, blueprints, item specifications, sample papers, and marking schemes.
- Review current assessment practices and recommend improvements to formative, summative, school-based, and board assessments.




- Develop and quality-review competency-based items, rubrics, exemplar responses, instructional materials, and teacher-support resources.
- Ensure technical accuracy, curricular relevance, appropriate cognitive demand, fairness, accessibility, and suitability for diverse learners.
- Support contextualization and institutionalization of the PARAKH HPC for grades 9-12.
- Contribute subject expertise to SQAAF-aligned frameworks, indicators, tools, and implementation guidance.
- Facilitate consultations with SCERT, DIETs, BSEH, teachers, and subject experts to validate materials and recommendations.
- Work with trainers and assessment specialists to develop modules on pedagogy, assessment literacy, item writing, and use of evidence.
- Conduct school visits, classroom observations, pilot reviews, and implementation checks where required.
- Monitor effectiveness of subject curricula, assessments, sample papers, training materials, and implementation support.

Knowledge/Skills:

- Deep knowledge of the relevant subject, grades 9-12 curriculum, board standards, and pedagogy.
- Strong understanding of competency-based education, learning outcomes, school-based and large-scale assessment.
- Ability to develop blueprints, specifications, items, rubrics, sample papers, marking schemes, and training content.
- Knowledge of NCF-SE, PARAKH, HPC, and SQAAF strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical, writing, review, communication, consultation, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to work with SCERT, DIETs, BSEH, teachers, government officials, and multidisciplinary teams.




- Professional proficiency in the relevant language for Hindi SME; English and Hindi working ability preferred.

Experience and Skills:

EDUCATION

- Post-graduate degree in Hindi
- B.Ed. or M.Ed. essential; Education or Assessment qualification is an advantage.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

- Minimum 10 years in subject teaching, curriculum development, item development, module design, teacher training, or academic support.
- Grades 9-12 or board-class curriculum and assessment experience required.
- Demonstrated competency-based or learning-outcome-based material development.
- Experience with blueprints, items, rubrics, sample papers, marking schemes, or teacher-support materials.
- Government education, large-scale assessment, HPC, SQAAF, PARAKH, or NCF-SE experience preferred.
