Job Summary

We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Area Sales Manager to manage and grow FMCG sales across assigned areas in Bihar. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of distributor management, dealer/retailer networks, market expansion, sales targets, and team handling.

Key Responsibilities

- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned territory.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors, dealers, retailers, and key customers.
- Expand the distribution and retail network across assigned markets.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop new distributors/retailers.
- Monitor product availability, visibility, pricing, and market movement.
- Manage and motivate sales executives/field sales teams.
- Conduct regular market visits and track competitor activities.
- Ensure timely order generation, collection, and payment follow-up.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly sales reports and share market feedback with management.
- Implement company sales schemes, promotions, and trade offers effectively.




- Ensure achievement of primary and secondary sales targets.

Required Skills

- Solid knowledge of the FMCG distribution and sales network.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
- Strong market development and business-development ability.
- Good knowledge of distributor/dealer/retailer handling.
- Target-oriented with strong follow-up and execution skills.
- Ability to manage a sales team and work independently.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Bihar.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and sales reporting.

Candidate Profile

- Graduate preferred.
- 2–5+ years of experience in FMCG sales or a related consumer goods industry preferred.
- Candidates with experience as Area Sales Manager / Territory Sales Manager / Sales Officer / Distributor Sales Manager may apply.
- Candidates with strong Bihar market knowledge will be preferred.
