About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and patient-friendly Phlebotomist to join our diagnostic centre. The candidate will be responsible for accurate and safe blood/sample collection at the centre as well as home sample collection, while maintaining proper patient care, identification, documentation, and sample-handling procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform venipuncture and blood sample collection safely and efficiently.
- Collect other routine diagnostic samples as per laboratory requirements.
- Perform home sample collection from patients in Zirakpur and nearby areas.
- Properly identify patients and verify test requisitions before collection.
- Ensure correct labelling, handling, storage, and transportation of samples.
- Maintain proper sample collection records and documentation.
- Follow infection-control, hygiene, and biomedical-waste management protocols.
- Handle patients professionally, especially children, elderly patients, and anxious patients.
- Ensure samples reach the laboratory within the required time and conditions.
- Coordinate with the laboratory team regarding sample requirements, rejected samples, and recollection.
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the phlebotomy/sample collection area.
- Handle phlebotomy equipment and supplies responsibly.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.




- Provide a courteous and professional patient experience.

Requirements

- DMLT / MLT / B.Sc. MLT / B.Sc. Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in phlebotomy/sample collection is preferred.
- Strong venipuncture skills are essential.
- Must be comfortable with home sample collection.
- Positive communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle patients calmly and professionally.
- Knowledge of basic infection-control and sample-handling procedures.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Candidates from Zirakpur, Chandigarh, Panchkula, Mohali and nearby areas preferred.

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
