We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Sales & Marketing Manager with strong knowledge of the Freight Forwarding / Shipping industry to develop new business and increase our export/import booking volumes from Mundra, Nhava Sheva (JNPT) and other major Indian seaports.

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and negotiation skills, strong industry contacts, and a proven ability to generate direct as well as nomination business.

Key Responsibilities

- Generate new business and regular export/import bookings from Mundra, Nhava Sheva and other major Indian seaports.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with exporters, importers, manufacturers, traders, freight forwarders and overseas agents.
- Generate direct customer bookings as well as nomination bookings.
- Develop business through WCAWORLD and other international freight forwarding networks.
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with WCA members, overseas agents and international partners.
- Identify new business opportunities and convert prospects into regular customers.
- Have strong contacts with shipping lines / liners and negotiate competitive freight rates and commercial terms.
- Obtain the best possible ocean freight rates, free days, surcharges and other commercial advantages from shipping lines.
- Regularly negotiate with liners based on market conditions, volume commitments and customer requirements.
- Monitor market freight rates, competitor pricing and shipping line offers.
- Coordinate with the operations and pricing teams to ensure competitive quotations and smooth execution of bookings.
- Achieve monthly/quarterly sales and booking targets.
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline and regularly follow up with prospective customers.
- Develop long-term relationships with customers and ensure repeat business.
- Handle rate negotiations with both customers and shipping lines.
- Explore opportunities for FCL/LCL,



import/export and nomination cargo.
- Represent the company professionally in customer meetings, industry events and networking activities.

Candidate Profile

- 5+ years of relevant experience in Freight Forwarding / Shipping / NVOCC sales.
- Strong existing network and contacts with exporters, importers, CHA/Customs brokers, freight forwarders and shipping lines.
- Good knowledge of Mundra, Nhava Sheva and other major Indian ports.
- Experience in obtaining nomination shipments/bookings will be highly preferred.
- Good understanding of WCAWORLD / international freight forwarding networks.
- Strong contacts with shipping lines and ability to obtain competitive ocean freight rates.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Proven track record of business development and revenue generation.
- Self-motivated, target-oriented and capable of working independently.
- Strong customer relationship management skills.
- Should have a result-oriented approach with the ability to bring actual business/bookings to the company.

We are specifically looking for a person who can bring business and generate bookings, not just handle sales coordination.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
