Position Overview

Birla Open Minds is seeking an experienced and visionary School Principal to provide strategic academic and administrative leadership to the school. The Principal will be responsible for ensuring academic excellence, effective school operations, staff development, student well-being, and a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Leadership :

- Lead and monitor the implementation of the school’s academic and instructional programmes.
- Drive excellence in teaching, learning, curriculum delivery, and student outcomes.
- Monitor academic performance and implement appropriate improvement initiatives.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional excellence.

School Administration & Operations :

- Oversee the overall academic, administrative, and operational functioning of the school.
- Ensure effective school planning, organization, staffing, and resource utilization.
- Ensure implementation of organizational policies, procedures, and applicable education regulations.
- Oversee school infrastructure, health, safety, and compliance requirements.

People Leadership & Development :

- Lead, mentor, supervise, and evaluate teaching and non-teaching staff.
- Allocate responsibilities effectively and ensure accountability across teams.
- Identify and facilitate training and professional development opportunities.
- Build a collaborative, positive,



and performance-oriented school culture.

Student & Parent Engagement :

- Ensure student discipline, safety, well-being, and overall development.
- Monitor student progress and address academic or behavioural concerns.
- Build strong and qualified relationships with parents and the wider school community.
- Represent the school at meetings, events, and external forums.

Budget & Resource Management :

- Support school budgeting, procurement, and effective utilization of resources.
- Ensure operational requirements are planned and managed efficiently.

Candidate Profile

- Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Curriculum, or a relevant discipline preferred.
- Valid teaching qualification/credential.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience as a School Principal.
- Strong track record in academic leadership, school administration, curriculum management, and team leadership.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams.
- Ability to work collaboratively with management, teachers, parents, students, and other stakeholders.
