Position:- Welding Engineer / Sr. Engineer

Location:- Kandla, Gandhidham, Gujarat

Qualification:- Dip./BE/B.Tech. – Mechanical / BE - Metallurgy / ME/M.Tech - Welding

Experience:- 6 to 8 Years

Type of Experience:

- Experience of TIG welding process with NDT performance (Level-II) and certification in the field of fabrication of pressure vessels and piping manufacturing industry.
- DPT Testing, Radiography and Visual Test Level 2 as per ASNT TC-1A / ISO 9712 would be first preference.

Responsibility:-

- Preparation of PQR, WPS and WPQ qualification of welding records as per ASME /EN standard.
- Perform daily welding inspection activities of manufacturing
- Knowledge of code and standard ASME section- VIII Div. 1 & 2, EN 13445, EN 13480, ASME section- IX and EN standards EN 15614,EN 15609 and PED (Pressure Equipment Directives) (97/23/EC).
- Maintaining the welding Machine calibration records and relevant welder continuity records as per ASME/EN standard.
- Analyse welding process and reduce weld repairs continually. Monitor welder performance and provide guideline to welder’s daily basis to improve weld quality.




- Visual Inspection of weld by Boroscopic examination and evaluate the weld quality with different NDT testing of Radiography, Helium leak test.
- Co-ordination for stage wise welding inspecting with third party inspection agencies and customer representatives.
- Radiography and Visual Test Level 2 qualification as per ISO 9712 would be first preference.
- RT, PT, UT, VT Level -2 certification and qualification as per ASNT TC-1A of ASME standard.
- Knowledge of various materials and their specifications used in fabrication industries like stainless steel and carbon steel, low alloy steel pipes, fittings, plate
- Awareness of Integrated Management system (IMS) for the compliance. ISO 9001:2015 , ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Kandla, Gujarat: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

- Diploma (Preferred)

Experience:

- TIG welding: 1 year (Preferred)
