Job Title: Salesforce Data Cloud Architect

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Data Cloud Architect to lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-scale customer data solutions. The ideal candidate will have solid hands-on expertise in Salesforce Data Cloud, customer identity resolution, data modeling, data ingestion, real-time integrations, and Customer 360 architecture.

The role involves working with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, Salesforce delivery teams, and client leadership to build scalable, secure, and high-performing customer data platforms. The architect will also enable advanced segmentation, audience activation, analytics, and AI-driven customer engagement across the Salesforce ecosystem.

Key ResponsibilitiesArchitecture and Solution Design

- Own end-to-end Salesforce Data Cloud architecture, from requirement discovery and solution design through implementation and optimization.
- Design scalable customer data platforms that consolidate customer information from multiple enterprise systems.
- Develop Customer 360 strategies integrating Data Cloud with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud, and Agentforce.
- Define architectural standards for data ingestion, harmonization, identity resolution, segmentation, and audience activation.
- Design batch, near-real-time, and event-driven data processing architectures based on business requirements.

Data Modeling and Customer Identity

- Design and implement Data Cloud data structures, including Data Lake Objects (DLOs), Data Model Objects (DMOs), and Calculated Insights.
- Build unified customer profiles by mapping, harmonizing, and reconciling data from multiple sources.




- Configure and optimize identity resolution rules, matching criteria, and reconciliation strategies.
- Establish data quality, governance, stewardship, consent management, and customer data lifecycle practices.
- Optimize data models and processing strategies for scalability, performance, and business usability.

Integration and Data Engineering

- Architect integrations between Salesforce Data Cloud and Salesforce clouds, Marketing Cloud Engagement, MuleSoft, Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and enterprise CRM/ERP systems.
- Define API-led, event-driven, streaming, and batch integration patterns.
- Design data ingestion using native connectors, APIs, file-based ingestion, and streaming sources.
- Establish reliable data pipelines, error-handling mechanisms, monitoring, and data reconciliation processes.
- Apply SQL, ETL/ELT, data warehousing, and data modeling principles to support enterprise customer data requirements.

AI, Analytics, and Audience Activation

- Design Data Cloud architectures that support Einstein AI, Agentforce, predictive analytics, and personalized customer engagement.
- Enable segmentation, Calculated Insights, Data Actions, and audience activation across Salesforce and external platforms.
- Support the use of trusted customer data in AI-driven workflows and customer engagement scenarios.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate customer intelligence requirements into scalable architectural solutions.

Technical Leadership and Governance





- Lead architecture reviews, solution assessments, design workshops, and technical decision-making.
- Mentor developers, technical leads, and solution architects.
- Define reusable architectural patterns, implementation standards, documentation, and best practices.
- Participate in client consultations, roadmap planning, effort estimation, and pre-sales discussions.
- Identify architectural risks and recommend solutions for scalability, performance, maintainability, and cost optimization.

Security and Compliance

- Define enterprise-grade security, access control, and data-sharing architectures.
- Support compliance with applicable privacy and regulatory requirements, including GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA where relevant.
- Establish appropriate controls for sensitive customer data, consent, retention, and access governance.
- Ensure that integrations and data activation processes follow organizational security policies.

Required Qualifications

- 8+ years of relevant experience in Salesforce architecture, data architecture, integration architecture, or enterprise data platforms.
- Strong hands-on experience implementing and architecting Salesforce Data Cloud.
- Deep understanding of Data Streams, DLOs, DMOs, identity resolution, Calculated Insights, segmentation, Data Actions, and activation.
- Experience designing Customer 360 solutions and integrating multiple Salesforce clouds.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, data modeling, data warehousing, ETL/ELT, APIs, and event-driven architecture.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with enterprise platforms such as MuleSoft, Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, or Kafka-based systems.
- Ability to lead client discussions, architecture reviews, and technical design decisions.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
