Role Description

The Comic Writer role at ToppersNotes is a full-time, on-site position based in Jaipur. In this role, the Comic Writer develops engaging, educational comic narratives that simplify complex concepts for students across various exams and subjects. Day-to-day responsibilities include brainstorming storylines with subject experts, scripting comic panels, creating characters and dialogues aligned with the curriculum, and revising content based on feedback from educators and product teams. The Comic Writer collaborates closely with illustrators and instructional designers to ensure that visual storytelling supports learning outcomes and remains accurate, age-appropriate, and exam-relevant. The role also involves meeting project deadlines,



maintaining consistent tone and style across series, and contributing creative ideas to new learning products.

Qualifications

- Strong storytelling and creative writing skills, with the ability to craft engaging, character-driven narratives in comic or graphic format.
- Experience writing for educational, children's, or young adult audiences, preferably in comics, graphic novels, or illustrated content.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with illustrators, educators, and product teams, and incorporate feedback into iterative drafts.
- Good understanding of academic or competitive exam content, or willingness and aptitude to learn subject matter quickly.
- Excellent command of written English, including clear, concise dialogue and age-appropriate language; proficiency in Hindi or other regional languages is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a quick-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Literature, Creative Writing, Communication, Education, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Portfolio of previous writing work (comics, scripts, stories, or educational content) demonstrating creativity and clarity in explaining concepts.
