The Material Handler is a cornerstone of our warehouse operations, ensuring that every product that enters or leaves the facility is handled with precision, care, and efficiency. Working under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be part of a dynamic team that supports the broader supply chain, from inbound receipt to outbound distribution. Your daily activities will involve a blend of physical tasks, record‑keeping, and collaboration with colleagues across shifts.

Key duties include loading and unloading trucks, containers, and pallets using manual labor or powered equipment such as hand pallet trucks, powered pallet jacks, and forklifts (for certified operators). You will verify each shipment against purchase orders, noting any discrepancies or damages and communicating these issues immediately to maintain inventory integrity. Accurate receipt of goods is essential, as it forms the basis for all downstream processes.

Once items are received, you will sort them according to product type, size, and storage requirements. Proper labeling and placement in designated zones help maximize space utilization and simplify future retrieval. The role demands strict adherence to stacking guidelines to prevent product damage and ensure safety for all personnel navigating the aisles.

Picking and issuing materials is another critical responsibility. Using work orders or electronic pick tickets, you will locate the correct items, verify quantities, and prepare them for internal use or external shipment. This process often involves repacking, applying shipping labels,



and ensuring that each package meets the company’s quality standards before it leaves the dock.

Inventory accuracy is maintained through regular cycle counts and periodic full‑stock audits. You will update the warehouse management system (WMS) in real time, recording movements, adjustments, and any exceptions. Your attention to detail directly impacts the reliability of inventory data, which in turn influences purchasing decisions, production planning, and customer satisfaction.

Shift work is a regular part of the position, with schedules designed to align with peak receiving and shipping periods. Flexibility to work evenings, nights, or weekends may be required to meet operational demands. Despite the physical nature of the job, the role offers a structured workplace with clear procedures, making it suitable for individuals who thrive on routine, reliability, and teamwork.
