Job Description

• Take precise measurements of clients and garments to ensure proper fit and alignment
• Perform alterations and repairs on a variety of clothing items, including suits, dresses, trousers, and formal wear
• Consult with clients to understand their tailoring needs, preferences, and design specifications
• Operate sewing machines and utilize hand-sewing techniques to complete alterations with precision and attention to detail
• Maintain high quality standards throughout all tailoring work and conduct thorough quality checks before delivery
• Manage and organize inventory of fabrics, threads, buttons, zippers, and other tailoring materials
• Meet project deadlines while maintaining workmanship excellence and customer satisfaction
• Provide expert recommendations to clients regarding fabric selection, design modifications, and garment care
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in compliance with health and safety standards
• Keep detailed records of client measurements, alteration specifications, and completed projects for future reference




• Build and maintain positive client relationships through professional communication and exceptional service
• Stay current with tailoring trends, techniques, and industry best practices

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Tailor or in garment alteration and repair (minimum 3 years)
• Proficiency in operating industrial and domestic sewing machines
• Robust hand-sewing skills and knowledge of various stitching techniques
• Ability to take accurate measurements and interpret alteration specifications
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Knowledge of different fabric types, weights, and care requirements
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication skills and ability to consult effectively with clients
• Organizational skills with the ability to maintain detailed client records
• Physical ability to stand for exte
