KIOSK Maintenance Technician – Electro-Mechanical & PLC

Position Summary

We are looking for a hands-on KIOSK Maintenance Technician to manage the operation, preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance and troubleshooting of automated KIOSK units deployed in Saudi Arabia.

The selected candidate will receive comprehensive technical training in India on the KIOSK system before being deployed to KSA. The technician will be responsible for first-line on-site technical support and should be capable of independently diagnosing and rectifying mechanical, electrical, electronic and PLC-related faults.

The role requires strong practical knowledge of electro-mechanical machinery, industrial automation, PLC systems, sensors, actuators, motors, drives, control panels and conveyor systems.

The position does not require software/application development. However, the technician must be capable of carrying out PLC-level diagnostics, I/O checks, sensor/actuator troubleshooting and basic automation fault finding.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance of KIOSK systems.

· Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, electronic and automation-related faults.

· Maintain conveyors, motors, gearboxes, belts, bearings, chains, couplings and other mechanical assemblies.

· Troubleshoot electrical panels, MCBs, MCCBs, contactors, relays, power supplies, UPS systems and motor circuits.

· Troubleshoot VFDs/motor drives and motor-related faults.

· Diagnose and replace faulty sensors, switches, encoders, actuators and other field devices.

· Carry out PLC diagnostics, including PLC health checks, I/O monitoring and fault identification.

· Troubleshoot PLC I/O, interlocks, alarms, sensor signals and communication-related issues.

· Perform electrical continuity, voltage and signal checks using multimeters and appropriate testing equipment.

· Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, PLC I/O diagrams and mechanical drawings.

· Carry out mechanical adjustments, alignment, lubrication, component replacement and equipment servicing.

· Support KIOSK installation, commissioning,



testing and site acceptance activities when required.

· Maintain equipment in secure and operational condition with minimum downtime.

· Identify recurring failures and support root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

· Maintain preventive maintenance schedules, breakdown reports, equipment history and spare-parts records.

· Monitor critical spare parts and report replacement requirements.

· Coordinate with the India-based engineering/technical team for complex technical issues.

· Support OEM/automation specialists during advanced troubleshooting when required.

· Follow all applicable site, electrical, mechanical and occupational safety requirements.

Training & Deployment

The selected candidate will undergo product-specific technical and practical training in India covering:

· KIOSK mechanical systems and assemblies.

· Conveyor and material-handling systems.

· Electrical systems and control panels.

· Motors, gearboxes and VFDs.

· Sensors, actuators and electronics.

· PLC and automation systems.

· KIOSK operating sequence.

· Preventive and breakdown maintenance.

· Fault diagnosis and component replacement.

· Safety and maintenance procedures.

Following successful completion of training, the candidate will be deployed to Saudi Arabia for site-based KIOSK maintenance and technical support.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Educational Qualification

Candidates should preferably possess:

· Diploma / ITI / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, Industrial Automation or Mechanical Engineering.

Candidates with strong relevant hands-on industrial maintenance experience may also be considered irrespective of their exact educational specialization.

Professional Experience

· 3–8 years of relevant industrial maintenance experience preferred.





· Hands-on experience with PLC-controlled machinery and industrial automation equipment is strongly preferred.

· Experience in automated machinery, conveyor systems, material handling, manufacturing equipment, packaging machinery, robotics, recycling machinery or similar industrial equipment will be an advantage.

Mandatory Technical Competencies

The candidate must have practical knowledge/experience in:

· Mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting

· Electrical maintenance and troubleshooting

· PLC troubleshooting and diagnostics

· Industrial automation

· Sensors and actuators

· Electrical/control panels

· Motors and gearboxes

· VFDs / motor drives

· Electrical wiring and cable termination

· Reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams

· Use of multimeter and electrical testing instruments

· Preventive and breakdown maintenance

Preferred Skills

· Conveyor system maintenance.

· Material handling equipment.

· Industrial robotics/automation.

· Recycling or waste-management machinery.

· UPS systems.

· Electronics troubleshooting.

· PLC I/O and industrial communication troubleshooting.

· Mechanical drawing interpretation.

· Previous GCC/Saudi Arabia experience.

Other Eligibility Requirements

· Must be willing to undergo technical training in India before deployment.

· Must be willing to relocate/deploy to Saudi Arabia.

· Must be comfortable working in a site-based environment.

· Must be capable of working independently and handling equipment breakdowns.

· Must possess good troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Must have good communication and technical reporting skills.

· Must demonstrate a solid commitment to safety and equipment reliability.

Important

· Hands-on technical capability and troubleshooting experience will be given higher priority than academic qualification alone.

· Candidates with strong experience in industrial automation + PLC + electro-mechanical machinery maintenance should be prioritized.

· Software/application programming is NOT a requirement for this position.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
