Key Responsibilities

Inventory management

- Hold custody of the full diamond stock: natural and lab-grown, all shapes (round, emerald, pear, marquise and others), sizes, colours and clarities
- Keep stock sorted into separate, labelled packets by type, shape, size and quality (500–700 packets)
- Reconcile stock daily: opening stock + purchases − issued to production = closing stock, with zero unexplained difference
- Issue diamonds to the bagging person as orders require; inventory accountability stays with you, not with the bagger

Grading supervision

- Make sure newly purchased packets are graded and separated by colour and clarity before they enter stock
- Get full daily output from the grader (for example, 100 carats a day if that is the grader's capacity)
- Spot-check grading accuracy

Bagging for production

- Check stock availability against each production order card that reaches the department
- Make sure every order bag is prepared correctly: style number, sizes, piece count and weight
- Make sure bags reach production on time

ERP entries

- Issue diamonds in the ERP software against each Jewellery item, with actual piece count and weight




- Keep physical stock and ERP stock matched at all times

Customer (job work) diamonds

- Receive customer-supplied diamonds and keep them as separate inventory under the customer's name
- Issue them only against that customer's orders
- Maintain a full account per customer (received, used, balance) and present it whenever the customer asks for a return or a statement

Requirements

- Minimum 5 years of experience in the diamond department of a jewellery or diamond company
- Trained diamond grader with hands-on colour and clarity grading skill (compulsory)
- Currently working as a Grader, Senior Grader or in a similar diamond department role; the current title does not matter
- Experience keeping diamond stock across shapes, sizes and qualities, with regular reconciliation
- Comfortable with ERP or inventory software for stock issue and tracking
- Able to supervise a grader and a bagging person and get daily targets met
- Accurate, organized and trustworthy with high-value stock

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
