JOB DESCRIPTION – PGT TEACHERS REQUIRED FOR P. P. Savani Center for Excellence, Rajpipla, Narmada

2. Educational Qualification

- Master's Degree (M.Sc./M.Com./M.A./MCA/M.Tech or equivalent) in the relevant subject from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. is mandatory.
- Candidates must have a strong academic background in the relevant subject.
- Candidates should be well-versed with the GSEB Secondary and Higher Secondary curriculum.
- Additional qualifications or certifications related to the subject/teaching will be an advantage.

3. Experience Required

- Minimum 3 to 5 years of teaching experience in Standards 9 to 12.
- Candidates with experience in GSEB schools will be preferred.
- Experience of teaching Science or Commerce stream at Higher Secondary level is essential for respective subject positions.
- Candidates should have experience in preparing students for Board Examinations.
- Experience in question-paper setting, assessment, remedial teaching and academic planning will be preferred.
- Candidates with experience in reputed schools/coaching institutions with strong academic results may also be considered.

4. Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic & Teaching Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver effective lessons for Standards 9 to 12 as per the GSEB curriculum.
- Prepare annual, term-wise, monthly and daily lesson plans.
- Ensure proper completion of the prescribed syllabus within the academic schedule.
- Explain concepts clearly using appropriate teaching-learning methodologies.
- Conduct regular class tests, unit tests, examinations and assessments.
- Identify learning gaps and provide remedial support to students.
- Prepare students thoroughly for GSEB Board Examinations.
- Focus on conceptual understanding, application-based learning and examination preparation.
- Provide additional academic support to academically weak students.




- Encourage high-performing students through enrichment activities and advanced academic support.

Assessment & Examination

- Prepare question papers, worksheets, assignments and study material.
- Evaluate answer sheets and maintain accurate assessment records.
- Prepare student progress reports and academic performance analysis.
- Conduct revision sessions before examinations.
- Analyse examination results and prepare improvement plans.
- Maintain proper records of student attendance, assessment and academic performance.

Student Management

- Maintain discipline and a positive classroom environment.
- Develop professional and respectful relationships with students.
- Monitor students' academic progress and classroom participation.
- Provide appropriate guidance and mentoring to students.
- Communicate students' academic concerns to the Coordinator/Principal.
- Support students in developing effective study and examination strategies.

Academic Coordination

- Coordinate with the respective HOD/Academic Coordinator/Principal for curriculum planning.
- Participate in departmental meetings and academic reviews.
- Contribute to the preparation of academic calendars and examination schedules.
- Collaborate with other teachers for interdisciplinary academic activities.
- Participate in school events, academic programmes, workshops and training sessions.
- Follow all academic policies, procedures and instructions of the institution.

5. Subject-Specific ExpectationsScience PGTs

Candidates should have strong subject knowledge and practical understanding in their respective subjects, including:

- Physics
- Chemistry
- Biology
- Mathematics

Candidates should be capable of conducting practical/laboratory-based learning wherever applicable and preparing students for both theoretical and practical examinations.

Commerce PGTs

Candidates should have strong knowledge and teaching experience in:

- Accountancy
- Economics
- Business Studies
- Statistics





Candidates should be capable of providing practical and application-based understanding of Commerce concepts and preparing students for board-level examinations.

7. Preferred Candidate Profile

- Candidates with 3–5+ years of relevant teaching experience in Standards 9–12.
- Candidates with prior GSEB Higher Secondary teaching experience will be preferred.
- Candidates with proven Board Examination results will be given preference.
- Candidates from reputed schools or educational institutions will be preferred.
- Candidates willing to relocate to Rajpipla, Narmada may apply.
- Candidates with strong communication skills and a positive attitude towards students are preferred.
