Role Description The Sr. Business Development Manager at Smartail will lead growth initiatives for DeepGrade and other solutions by identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and expanding Smartail’s presence in the education sector. This full-time, in office role based in Madurai involves managing the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and qualifying leads to delivering product presentations, negotiating contracts,



and closing deals with schools and institutions. The person in this role will collaborate with product and marketing teams to refine go-to-market strategies, gather customer feedback, and align offerings with market needs. They will also be responsible for forecasting revenue, maintaining a robust pipeline, and representing Smartail at events, conferences, and client meetings to strengthen brand visibility and client relationships.
Qualifications
• Experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in EdTech, SaaS, or technology solutions for education.
• Proven ability to identify prospects, build and manage a sales pipeline, and close deals with institutional clients or B2B customers.
• Strong skills in relationship management, stakeholder engagement, and contract negotiation with senior decision-makers.
