Company Description Gujarat Credo Alumina Chemicals Ltd. (GCACL) operates one of the newest and most modern plants for producing specialty alumina chemicals and hydrates, including various grades of Hydrated Alumina (Aluminium Tri Hydroxide – ATH).
Role Description The IT Assistant is a full-time, in office role based in the Greater Ahmedabad Area. This role supports day-to-day IT operations, including handling user queries, setting up workstations, and maintaining hardware and software assets. Responsibilities include providing technical and printer support, diagnosing and troubleshooting system issues, and escalating complex problems to senior IT personnel or vendors as needed. The IT Assistant will help monitor network and system performance, maintain inventory of IT equipment, and ensure timely updates, backups, and basic security practices. The role involves collaborating with other departments to enable smooth business operations and documenting common issues and solutions for continuous improvement.
Qualifications




• Ability to provide hands-on Technical Support and general Information Technology assistance to end users.
• Skills in Printer Support and device setup, including installation, configuration, and routine maintenance.
• Strong Troubleshooting capabilities with solid Analytical Skills to identify, diagnose, and resolve IT issues efficiently.
• Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows/Linux), office productivity tools, and hardware components.
• Incl ERP / SAP / Zoho / HROne
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach to supporting colleagues at all levels.
• Ability to work on-site in the Greater Ahmedabad Area and collaborate in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
• Prior experience in an IT support or helpdesk role within an industrial or manufacturing setup is an advantage.
