We are seeking an experienced Senior Solution Architect to join our engineering organisation and lead the design of scalable, cloud-native solutions across Wiley's technology portfolio.
Architecture Leadership,Design and Technical Skills
6+ years of hands-on experience technical leadership and Tech Lead capabilities, with experience in solution architecture, technical design, engineering mentorship, architectural decision-making, and preparation of Solution Architecture Documents (SADs).
Robust understanding of React Native 0.83 and cross-platform iOS and Android application architecture, with experience in Redux Saga for state and asynchronous workflow management and Nitro SQLite for local data persistence and offline capabilities.
Expertise in designing scalable and maintainable web applications using React 18, TypeScript, Vite, and Material UI (MUI), with a focus on reusable components, performance, security, and responsive architecture.
Strong experience designing cloud-native backend solutions using Node.js, TypeScript, AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, and AWS Cloud services.
Ability to define scalable, secure, highly available, and cost-effective AWS architectures.
Hands-on expertise with Python, AWS Lambda, AWS SAM, and AWS Step Functions for designing serverless, event-driven, and distributed application architectures and workflow orchestration.
Strong expertise in GraphQL, AWS AppSync, and DynamoDB, along with experience designing REST APIs, GraphQL APIs, and event-driven integration patterns.
Strong understanding of NoSQL, relational, search, and in-memory data stores, with the ability to define appropriate data persistence and storage strategies based on scalability, performance, availability, and business requirements.
