Key Account Executive – Modern Trade

About the Role

We are looking for a Key Account Executive – Contemporary Trade who can manage and coordinate day-to-day operations for key retail accounts such as Reliance, D-Mart and other modern trade customers.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in FMCG field sales, territory management and distributor/retailer handling, with good knowledge of multiple markets and areas across Surat.
This role is ideal for someone currently working as a Territory Sales Executive, Sales Officer, Area Sales Executive or similar field-sales role and looking to transition into an in-house Key Account role.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day coordination with assigned Modern Trade accounts and retail partners.
• Coordinate with clients regarding orders, requirements, promotions, visibility and marketing activities.
• Follow up on orders from order placement to stock availability, dispatch and delivery.
• Coordinate with internal sales,



warehouse, logistics and supply-chain teams to ensure timely order fulfilment.
• Track stock availability, inventory movement and product requirements across assigned accounts.
• Coordinate with sales promoters/merchandisers deployed at retail stores and ensure smooth execution.
• Understand store-level requirements and coordinate internally for product availability, visibility and promotional execution.
• Monitor primary and secondary sales and maintain regular sales reports/MIS.
• Follow up on pending orders, claims, stock issues and other account-related requirements.
• Coordinate with the field sales team and distributors wherever required.
• Maintain strong working relationships with clients and ensure timely resolution of operational issues.
• Support account-wise sales planning, promotions and business-growth initiatives.
• Maintain knowledge of the Surat market, key retail areas, distributors
