Job Summary

The Optometrist is responsible for conducting eye examinations, identifying vision problems, prescribing corrective lenses, and providing appropriate eye care guidance to patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct eye examinations and vision tests.
• Perform refraction and prescribe corrective lenses.
• Identify vision problems and refer patients to ophthalmologists when required.
• Assist patients in selecting suitable spectacles and contact lenses.
• Explain eye test results and provide basic eye care advice.
• Operate and maintain optometry equipment.
• Maintain accurate patient records and prescriptions.
• Coordinate with ophthalmologists and other hospital staff.
• Ensure quality patient care and a good patient experience.

Required Qualification

• Bsc.Optometry

• Knowledge of optometry and refraction.
• Valuable communication and patient counselling skills.
• Ability to operate eye testing equipment.
