Role Overview
Advance Sensing is hiring an Application Engineer to work on machine vision software solutions, AI-based industrial inspection systems, OpenCV applications, industrial camera integration, optics, lighting and automation-based quality inspection platforms.
This role is ideal for freshers or early-career engineers who want to build a solid career in machine vision, computer vision, AI inspection, industrial automation and sensing technology. As part of one of the growing machine vision and industrial sensing technology companies in Bengaluru, you will work on real-world inspection systems used in manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and support machine vision-based software solutions for industrial inspection applications.
• Work with OpenCV, image processing libraries and computer vision algorithms for defect detection and measurement.
• Assist in AI/ML model development and deployment using Python, PyTorch or similar frameworks.




• Integrate industrial cameras, lenses, lighting systems, triggers and image acquisition hardware.
• Support inspection logic for surface defect detection, dimensional inspection, presence/absence detection and product validation.
• Work with automation teams for PLC signals, sensors, camera triggers and production-line integration.
• Test, debug and validate machine vision systems in lab and customer environments.
• Prepare technical documentation, inspection reports, feasibility notes and application test summaries.
• Support commissioning of AI machine vision inspection systems at manufacturing sites.

Required Skills
• Basic understanding of machine vision, computer vision and image processing concepts.
• Knowledge of Python programming.
• Exposure to OpenCV, CV2 image processing, thresholding, contour detection, edge detection and feature extraction.
• Basic knowledge of AI/ML, PyTorc
